About Me:
Hi, I’m Kieran McCarthy I live in Youghal, Co. Cork Ireland. I have been involved in the web as a web developer since 1997. I hold a diploma in Web Authoring and completing exams as “Macromedia Certified Professional” and also “Adobe Certified Expert“.
I am currently completing a 4 year business course in Video & Web Multimedia pre & post production.
What I’ve been doing:
Over the past 3 years I’ve been running Net & Web Media Ireland Ltd. a website design company www.webmediaireland.com providing web services to the East Cork, Munster area of Ireland.
Why a blog?
I started my blog www.kmcgraphics.com as a way to keep track of code tips & tricks, user comments feedback etc.
Also as a display area for work I’m currently doing. I will often post up comments on music, video, life, photography and general topics where feedback is always appreciated.
Other stuff:
I stream live online events such as Live Gigs, CD Launches, Talent Finals, Plays and various others events and will be featuring the know how on digital video cameras, encoders, bitrates & streaming service providers on this blog as time goes by.
This whole digital video on the web is a field relatively new in Ireland and not many people have the knowledge or know how on streaming a live event on the Internet. I will share my experiences so I can help others.
Man With Cam for Hire: (Canon XL2)
I own a Canon XL2 with Manfrotto Tripod a couple of Canon handy cams which I use regularly plus a hand held steadycam system and a 18ft camera crane.
I’m available for all types of video production from shooting to editing and final production.
